Our group is dedicated to preventing the banning, labeling, stigmatizing and the segregating of books & media. We are focused on our libraries here in Livingston County MI. We also support this fight in every corner of our country. We are dedicated to resisting the alt right takeover of our library policy by fundamentalists boards whom are committed to removing books and media that they do not agree with. We will accomplish this by using our First Amendment rights of speech and peaceful assembly. As well as outreach to the general public to raise awareness of the actions being taken.

Through advocacy and collaborative efforts, we strive to break down systemic barriers, fostering an inclusive environment that empowers every learner. Our vision is a society where all students, regardless of background, have access to a quality education, creating a foundation for a more just and prosperous future. Goals: Support candidates for local political office (Board of Education and County Commissioners) that are in line with our mission statement. Advocate for all students in Worcester County to have equitable access to high quality education. Support the federal and state standards for book selection procedures to ensure reading materials are reflective of all Worcester County Students.
